Pyxis Discovery approached iThemba Pharmaceuticals to synthesise compounds designed using in silico techniques. The contract comprised of 10 sets of 10 fragments requiring greater than 95% purity on 100mg scale.
This project was successfully completed in the required timeframe of 3 months. This has led to an ongoing collaboration between iThemba and Pyxis Discovery.
iThemba Pharmaceuticals synthesized a number of functionalized steroid analogues as potential anti-cancer agents for a top South African academic institution. Expertise was leveraged from our Scientific Advisory Board to devise a 15 synthetic step route to 11 novel compounds in a timeframe of 5 weeks.
